Board & Train Focus Areas

What We Work On During Your Dog’s Training

Every dog comes to us with a unique personality, behavior patterns, and learning style. Our Board & Train program will teach your dog 15 commands including kennel manners, meet & greet protocols, perfect leash behavior, and so much more. We design a training approach to meet your dog where they are, while building the structure and consistency needed for real, lasting change.

Early Development & Puppy-Like Behavior

The early stages of a dog’s life shape everything that follows. For dogs that are 6 months+, we focus on guiding them through foundational behaviors that set them up for long-term success, including:
  • Understanding boundaries
  • Developing focus and responsiveness
  • Building positive habits from the start
By introducing structure early, we help prevent unwanted behaviors before they become ingrained patterns. For puppies younger than 6 months, please see our puppy program

Zero-Tolerance Behaviors Training

Some behaviors aren’t just frustrating, they can quickly become disruptive to everyday life.

We address behaviors such as:

  • Jumping on people
  • Nipping or biting
  • Excessive barking
  • Lack of impulse control

Through training positive behaviors and creating clear expectations, your dog learns doing the right things makes the world a great place.

This creates a calmer, more predictable environment both at home and in public.

Aggression & Hyperactivity Management

High energy and reactive behaviors can feel overwhelming, especially when they seem unpredictable or difficult to control.

Our training focuses on:

  • Reducing reactivity toward people, dogs, or environments
  • Teaching calm, controlled responses
  • Channeling energy into structured behavior

Rather than suppressing your dog’s energy, we teach them how to manage it resulting in a more balanced and responsive companion.

Confidence Building for Fearful or Submissive Dogs

Fearful or timid behavior often comes from uncertainty, not disobedience.

We help build confidence by:

  • Creating clear structure and expectations
  • Introducing controlled exposure to new environments
  • Reinforcing calm, successful behaviors

As your dog begins to understand what’s expected, their confidence grows—and that confidence translates into more stable, predictable behavior.

The Goal: A Dog That Understands, Not Just Obeys

Our approach isn’t about forcing behavior, it’s about helping your dog truly understand what is expected of them.

When dogs are given:

  • Clear communication
  • Consistent structure
  • Proper reinforcement

They don’t just follow commands – they become calmer, more confident, and better companions.
